FARMHOUSE IN FARMA VALLEY, IN THE TERRITORY OF SIENA
Placed in the peace of the Tuscan countryside, this typical farmhouse is located in Iesa, in the municipality of Monticiano (Siena).
It is surrounded by approximately 40 hectares of fields, orchards, olive groves, woods full of holm oaks, cork oaks and strawberry trees and it is the ideal place to spend some relaxing time in close contact with nature.
Going for a walk in the surrounding scrub you can bump into roe deers, wild boars, foxes and pheasants and you can also pick tasty mushrooms grown on the hill.
The complex is located near the Farma nature reserve between Monticiano and Roccastrada, on the border between the provinces of Siena and Grosseto.
The Farma stream, that is the main tributary of Merse river, flows through this beautiful and untouched valley.
The farmhouse is close to Petriolo Baths, which offer the opportunity to relax and experience thermal baths and spa treatments.
SURROUNDINGS AND ACTIVITIES
In the surroundings of our farmhouse the wonderful Farma Valley, the upper and lower Merse Valley, San Galgano Abbey, Petriolo Baths, Siena (the famous town of Palio) and seaside resorts like Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica deserve a visit.
Taking walks, going on an excursion, relaxing at the baths, visiting interesting cultural sites, hunting, fishing and picking up mushrooms are other possible activities you can do in this place. A café and a grocer’s shop are in the town, while the supermarket, the pharmacy and some restaurants are in Monticiano (about 10 km away).
